Corporate Tax Registration Deadline in the UAE: If you’re a business operating in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or any other Emirates in the UAE, it’s crucial to adhere to the Corporate Tax Registration timeline set by the Ministry of Finance. Failure to register within the specified deadlines can result in a hefty administrative penalty of Dh10,000. Here’s everything you need to know about the registration process and deadlines:

Corporate Tax Registration Deadline For Resident Persons:

  • If your business was licensed between January and April, your deadline is May 31st, 2024.
  • For licenses issued from May to August, the deadline is June 30th, 2024.
  • Licenses issued from September to December have until October 31st, 2024, to register.

For entities without a license at the effective date of this decision, the deadline is three months from that date.

For Resident Persons established or recognized after the effective date of this decision, the deadline varies based on the category:

  • Incorporated under UAE legislation: three months from the date of incorporation.
  • Incorporated under foreign legislation but effectively managed and controlled in the UAE: three months from the end of the financial year.

Corporate Tax Registration Deadline For Non-Resident Persons:

  • Those with a nexus in the UAE before the effective date of this decision have nine months from the existence of their Permanent Establishment to register.
  • Non-residents with a nexus in the UAE after the effective date have three months to register.

For Non-Resident Persons established after the effective date:

  • Those with a Permanent Establishment in the UAE must register within six months of its existence.
  • Others with a nexus in the UAE have three months from the establishment of the nexus.

For Natural Persons:

  • Resident individuals conducting business in the UAE must register by March 31st of the subsequent year if their turnover exceeds the specified threshold.
  • Non-residents meeting the tax requirements have three months from meeting those requirements to register.

Don’t risk facing penalties due to missed deadlines. Ensure timely registration to stay compliant with UAE Corporate Tax regulations
